This Japanese whiskey is produced by Hakutsuru Shuzo, a Japanese sake manufacturer founded in 1743.
The single malt whisky was distilled and matured in Hokkaido, and finished in Mizunara oak barrels to create a new aroma reminiscent of cask sake.
The design is based on the Hakutsuru Brewery trademark and the motif of the tancho crane, a symbol of good luck.
Tasting notes
Color: Amber
Aroma: Ripe cantaloupe, caramel, almond
Mouthfeel: Mild sweetness of banana, gentle wave of butterscotch, fresh herbs
∙ Finish: Dark chocolate, orange, pleasantly persistent smoky and peaty notes.
