Shuijingfang, located in Chengdu's east gate, is a historic distillery with a store and workshop structure. It is recognized as the world's most intact, earliest, and largest ancient baijiu workshop, dating back to the late Yuan and early Ming dynasties.
Ancient texts record, "Dig wells to drink, and farm to eat," and "Nine men make a well, four wells form a town." Wells are the source of livelihood and also a carrier of culture. The emergence of wells has promoted the process of urbanization, and only places with abundant water sources usually develop into markets.
The hexagon, representing prosperity and smoothness in Chinese culture, is echoed in Shuijingfang's bottle and packaging design, extending well wishes of wealth and success to consumers.
