“KI NO JYU” features the rare hand-picked gyokuro “Okunoyama,” cultivated at the Okunoyama Tea Garden owned by Horii Shichimeien, a historic tea producer in Uji, Kyoto. This exquisite gyokuro represents the pinnacle of Horii Shichimeien’s craftsmanship, offering a rich, fruity aroma and deeply concentrated umami.
By softening the characteristic juniper notes of gin, the delicate sweetness and full-bodied umami of “OKUNO YAMA” are brought to the forefront. It is best enjoyed neat or on the rocks to fully appreciate its refined flavor.
The paulownia wood box is also handcrafted by Kyoto artisans and features the same gemstone-inspired pattern. The label design is inspired by woodblock prints from “Kira Karacho,” a traditional atelier established in 1624.
