Age: 21YO
Cask: Bourbon cask
Introduction:
A dazzling realisation of craft and bourbon cask ageing, this 21-year-old whisky evokes the warmth and luminosity of a mid-summer’s day. This whisky is vibrant with Glenmorangie’s signature flavours of pear, lemon sherbet and jasmine, wondrously softened by age. Its striking orange gift box, adorned with radiant technicolour line work, reflects the glory of the sun.
Tasting Profile:
Colour: Honey gold
Nose: Fragrant, opulent and rich, with evocative notes of heather honey, pear, melon, lemon sherbet and jasmine, all beautifully integrated and harmonious. A splash of water opens up the bouquet even more, with tastes of carnation, mint and honeysuckle.
Taste: The tantalising mouthfeel is buttery smooth, creamy, and full-bodied at the same time, and leads into a symphony of delicious flavours, starting with sweet vanilla, ripe peaches, candied lemon peel, honeycomb and mint toffee, followed by gentle, malty biscuit flavours. The oak from the casks is present, and lends a degree of structure to the taste experience, but is subtle and sweet.
Finish: Gentle with hints of ginger, sweet chilli, and a touch of almond marzipan.
Ways Of Consumption: Neat, On Ice, with little water
