Delicate and spicy with a wonderful amber glow, Glenmorangie Grand Vintage Malt 1998 showcases some of the first Glenmorangie ever to be aged in new charred oak barrels.
Distilled in 1998, the year Dr Bill Lumsden became Glenmorangie’s Director of Whisky Creation, the 23-year-old limited edition results from one of his earliest experiments in post.
By marrying that experimental whisky’s intense colour and spice with other select casks for notes of ginger, baked apples and orange chocolate, Dr Bill brings a delectable twist to Glenmorangie’s fruity finesse.
Glenmorangie Grand Vintage Malt 1998 is the eighth limited edition in the Highland Distillery’s Bond House No.1 vintage collection. Each whisky in the series is created from some of Glenmorangie’s most prized parcels of aged whisky, for particularly delicious results.
