Grenache 80%, Carignan 20% Situated in the Languedoc Roussillon, close to Carcassonne, home of the Templar knights, Château Pech Latt was once owned by Abbey of Lagrasse, founded by Charlemagne in 784. The soil is made up of quaternary limestone colluvia and stones. anual harvest with a strict sorting at the vineyard. Before the winemaking, the grapes are sorted a second time and destalked. The grapes are put in cement tanks to undergo traditional vinification during 25 days with and gentle extraction. Maturing one year. Intense garnet red robe, with purple highlights, very clear and brilliant. In the nose, we find very powerful aromas of small red fruit (blackberry, blackcurrant), with nice hints of spices, liquorice and pepper. This wine is well-structured, with a perfect balance. It’s is a very elegant wine, with a nice long finish.
